Marie Swartz

Marie Keenan Swartz age 83 of Alliance, died at 2:15 p.m. Aug. 17, 2004 at Community Care Center.
She was born May 28, 1921 in MacDonald, Pennsylvania to Adam and Mary (Sly) Johnston and lived most of her life in Alliance.
She was formerly employed by Alliance Manufacturing, Mount Union Food Service, before retiring from Alliance Hospital.
Mrs. Swartz was a member of the Alliance Church of the Nazarene, and the Swinging Steelers Retiree Club.
She is survived by her husband Kenneth and their families, son Rev. Donald (Bonita) Keenan of Cherrysville, KS, son Dean (Pam) Keenan of Nashville, TN, daughter Diana Fontaine of Alliance, Kenneth's daughter Janice (Wayne) Strom of Chicago, Il, son Ronald Swartz of NC, grandchildren Kelly Jessip, Paul Keenan, Shane Keenan, Adam Keenan, Steven Keenan, Raymond Keenan, Willie Sigler, Edward P. Fontaine, Anne Fontaine, Laura Deem, Dawn Davis, Kristen Fontaine, Julie Swartz, Andy Swartz, Aaron Swartz, Eric Swartz, Bob Strom, and Rick Strom, several great-grandchildren, one sister LaVerne Hildabrandt and one brother Duncan Johnston.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 44 years, Raymond P. Keenan, and one brother Loyd Johnston.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Kevin Simpson officiating. Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
