Marilyn J. Kerr, age 79, of Alliance passed away at 7:40 p.m. Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at Alliance Community Hospital.
She was born June 20, 1930 in Alliance to Robert A. Floyd and May (Benjamin) Floyd Watt. She was a 1948 graduate of Alliance High School and was an adult school crossing guard for 17 years at Parkway School.
She is survived by a son, Robert T. Kerr of Moline, Illinois; two daughters, Marla C. Kerr of Alliance, and Melissa L. (Bill) Steede of Sebring; eleven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and a sister, Darlayne (John) Snyder of Alliance.
She was preceded in death by her parents; father, John Watt; her husband, William F. Kerr, whom she married January 31, 1953 and who died June 11, 2000; son, William F. Kerr Jr., daughter, Nora Harlin, and grandson, Rudy.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Peters officiating. Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Friday.
Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
