Marion Louise Barnes

Marion Louise Barnes, age 84, passed away on November 15, 2023.

She was born on January 11, 1939, in Alliance, Ohio, to Roy William and Louise Eleanor (Naylor) Wilson.

A graduate of Alliance High School and Canton Business College, Marion was the secretary to the President at Alliance Machine for over 30 years and was a member of Christ United Methodist Church for over 60 years. She was also a member of the Elks Auxiliary.

Marion loved to travel, especially to Hilton Head. She also enjoyed reading, music, dancing and decorating. Marion also stayed in touch with her high school classmates.  More than anything, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 61 years, William; her daughters, Shelley (Steve) Curtis and Amy (Mike) Tabler; grandchildren, Taylor (Brad) Pohl, Zoe Curtis and Jaden, Breanna and Adelyn Tabler; her brother John (Carole) Wilson; sister, Carol (John) Polak; and cousins, Tommy (Galina) Burnip and Kay Ann Burnip.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A celebration of life will be held at Christ United Methodist Church on Saturday January 6th at 11:00 a.m. with a visitation one hour prior.
