Marjorie E. Barnes, age 81, of Alliance, died Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Akron City Hospital.
She was born August 6, 1933 in Alliance, Ohio to Homer and Helen (Maple) House. A lifelong area resident, Mrs. Barnes graduated in 1951 from Alliance High School.
Marge attended Lexington United Methodist Church, and had an infectious outgoing personality which people were drawn to. She will be remembered fondly, but sadly missed by all who knew her.
Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Norman Barnes, who she married Nov. 17, 1956; daughter, Suzanne (Steve) Daniewicz of Starkville, Mississippi; granddaughters, Carly and Katelyn Daniewicz; sister-in-law, Judy House of Alliance; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Marilyn House, and brother, Ronald House.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral home. Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
Interment will be at Marlboro Cemetery.
