Marjorie Annamae Dhayer
On January 21, 2013, after 76 years, Marjorie Annamae (Yoder) Dhayer, formerly of Alliance, left this life at Leesburg Regional Medical Center in Leesburg, Florida.
She was born the third child of Ray and Margaret (Schillig) Yoder on September 24, 1936, in Steubenville, Ohio. She was educated in the Steubenville School System.
Marge very much enjoyed dancing. At one high school dance, she met the man with whom she decided she wanted to partner for life. She married August (Augie) Dhayer on March 6, 1954, and they danced together the rest of their lives as man and wife. Together they have three sons, loving every minute of the joys of their family. Marge was a stay-at-home Mom and secretary to her husband. Anyone calling Augie's Carpet Cleaning always heard the voice of and talked to Mrs. Augie. After spending so much time volunteering in PTA and school volunteer work, Marge decided to extend her love of children to driving an Alliance School bus retiring after 30 years in 2000.
She loved her job, and the children who rode her bus brought her great joy, some of which she has never lost contact with. Of the four great jobs in her life--wife, Mom, secretary, and school bus driver--she loved them all.
Marge is a 50-plus member of the Union Avenue United Methodist Church and Alliance Area Senior Center, past member of Alliance Jayceettes, BPOE Elks Auxiliary, and the YWCA.
Both Augie and she enjoyed their home in Lady Lake, Florida, in the beautiful warm sun.
She leaves this life by adding her loves to the world, husband of 58 years, Augie Dhayer; son, August R. (Tracy) Dhayer, of Columbus,; granddaughter, Leah (Jon) Ford; great-grandson, Alexander Ford of Bowie, MD; son, Daniel (Johann) Dhayer of Norwalk CA; grandson, Carlos Dhayer, USN; grandson, August D. Dhayer, USN and Danielle Dhayer of Norwalk, CA; son, Michael (Denise) Dhayer of Wooster; granddaughter, Tara (Jason) Roberts; great-grandson, Aden Roberts of Wooster; grandson, Alex Michael Dhayer of Wooster; brother, Robert (Shirley) Yoder; sister, Hazel (Fritz) Wurgler and many much-loved nieces and nephews.
Preceding Marge in death, besides her parents, is a sister, Betty (John) Scott.
