Marjorie Ruggles

Marjorie (Marge) J. Ruggles, of Alliance, passed away at her home on Thursday. December 24, 2020.

She was born on August 8, 1928 to William and Lillian Jones and was a lifelong resident of Alliance, Ohio, graduating from Alliance High School in 1946.

Marge was a member of the Alliance Woman’s Club, Women’s Auxiliary of BPOE Alliance Lodge #467, and the Alliance branch of Order of the Eastern Star.

She was a member of the Alliance First Baptist Church, and had worked at McCaskey Register during the 1940’s.

Marge enjoyed playing cards, cooking, gardening and spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey W. and Melissa A. Ruggles, and three grandsons, Curt, Todd and Evan Ruggles.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Harry E. Ruggles, whom she married February 24 1952, and who died July 19, 2006; and her siblings, Kenneth Jones and Doreen Unkefer.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Friends may call one hour prior to the service.

Burial will be at Fairmount Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alliance High School Foundation, P.O. Box 3123, Alliance, Ohio 44601.

The family would like to thank all of her caregivers and friends for their support over the last several years.
