Marjorie E. "Maggie" Skaggs, age 74, of Beloit, Ohio, passed away at 12:55 p.m., Sunday, August 12, 2018, at Aultman Hospital.
She was born February 8, 1944, in Lakewood, Ohio, to the late Glen and Marjorie (Ruff) Wright.
Maggie was a 1962 graduate of Black River High School and a United States Army Veteran having served during the Vietnam War.
She was employed as a professional musician, rural carrier for the U.S. Postal Service and also by the Stark County and Mahoning County Welfare offices in data entry.
Maggie was a member of the Beechwood Christian Church where she was involved in the Church Choir, Praise Team and the Church Prayer Chain. She also enjoyed traveling
Survivors include her daughter, Nancy Skaggs and son, Jerry L. Skaggs, both of Beloit; two sisters, Susan (Randall) Barath of Akron and Glenda Griego of California; brother, William Wright of Sullivan, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Maggie was preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Skaggs, Sr. whom she married February 13, 1983 and who died October of 1986; daughter, Carol; son, Robert Jr.; and two sisters, Judy and Barbara.
A memorial service will be held at Noon, Wednesday, August 22, 2018, at Beechwood Christian Church co-officiated by Pastor Mark Black and Pastor Jim McCloud. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
