Mark A. Mercer, age 46, of Marlboro, walked into the arms of Jesus on June 3, 2008, after battling Multiple Sclerosis for 28 years.
" I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." 2 Timothy 4:7.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Isabelle Mercer.
Surviving are his sister, Diana (Jim); brothers, Ben (Linda) and Tim (Sue); nieces, Shelby, Laura and Sabrina; nephews, Matthew, Logan and Daniel; followed by his Aunt Rosie, Uncle Joe and their family.
Services will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 11394 Edison St., Alliance, Ohio. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Marlboro Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to the Marlboro Fire Department, 9577 Edison St., Alliance, Ohio 44601, or the Oaks Clinic for MS, 3838 Massillon Road, Suite 360, Uniontown, Ohio 44685.
