Marshall Scott Mikesell, age 60, of Alliance, died at his home at 1:26 a.m. Friday December 31, 2004.
Mr. Mikesell was born in Chagrin Falls, Ohio to Anna Mae Mikesell on April 18, 1944 and lived in Alliance since 1988.
He served as a Staff Sergeant with the U.S. Army for twenty years, and was a member of Calvary Pentecostal Church in Sebring.
Mr. Mikesell enjoyed skydiving, and with his mother was the first Mother/Son Skydiving Team.
A. U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran, he served in Korea and Germany.
Survivors include his wife Dorothy (Saling), whom he married December 12, 1962; four sons, Scott (Debra) Mikesell Jr. of Alliance, Thomas (Erin) Mikesell of Canton, Philip Mikesell of Canton, Robert (Natalie) Mikesell of Akron; one daughter, Annette (Tim) Rishel of Morgantown, West Virginia; eight grandchildren, J.T., Brittany, Justin, Ciara, Brett, Holden, Colin and Logan; three sisters, Sue (George) Randolph of Reno, Nevada, Rose (Craig) Boyce of Alliance, and Patricia of California, and two brothers, Danny (Julie) DeMicheal of Omaha, Nebraska, and Patrick DeMichel of California.
Mr. Mikesell was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Donna Stoddard, and one brother Robert Mikesell.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Calvary Pentecostal Church. Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
