Martha Clark

Martha J. Clark, of Sebring, passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at her home.
She was born in Brookline, Massachusetts, October 27, 1924, to Matthew and Lorna (Wardwell) McNeilly.
Mrs. Clark was a graduate of Needham High School and Stratford Finishing School in Massachusetts. In midlife she became a student in business and technology at Cuyahoga Community College in Ohio.
She was employed as a bank teller and at University Hospitals of Cleveland for 21 years as a bookkeeper and patient accounts advocate.
Martha's proudest accomplishment was raising her family. She was an avid volunteer who devoted much of her life to Gideon's, prison youth ministry, and City Mission of Cleveland. Martha was a woman of deep faith and active church involvement including teaching, choir, ladies auxiliary, and mission work. She had been a member of Cedar Hill Baptist Church, Cleveland Heights, Ohio; First Baptist Church, Brevard, NC; and First Baptist Church, Alliance, Ohio. She also was an avid seamstress and silversmith.
Survivors include her husband, Crandall Clark, whom she married in 1946; three daughters, Lorna J. Clark-Rubin of Plattsburgh, NY, Marjorie G. Barnard of Chesterland, Ohio, and Sheryl D. Clark, of New York City; seven grandchildren, Aaron, Miriam, and Ilana Rubin; Sara and Kevin Barnard; Gabriel Dante and Milan Lombardi; four great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Rubin; Grace, Faye and Blake Albrecht.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Robert McNeilly, and sister, Marion Rowden.
Committal Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, November 13, 2009 at Hillcrest Memorial Park, 26200 Aurora Road, Bedford Heights, Oh.
Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 14, 2009 at First Baptist Church, 1659 W. State St., Alliance, Oh.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation, 26210 Emery Road, Suite 307, Cleveland, Oh., 44128, or to the Gideon's Alliance Camp, P.O. Box 3154, Alliance, Oh., 44601.
