Martha E. Grant

Martha E. Grant, age 86 of Alliance, died at 11:20 a.m. May 25, 2006 at Alliance Community Hospital.
She was born October 28, 1919 in Marlboro to Herbert N. and Edith A. (Snyder) Fox and was a lifelong area resident. A 1939 graduate of Marlboro High School and Alliance Business College, Mrs. Grant worked at Alliance City Hospital in the record office doing clerical work. She was a member of Alliance Evangelical Friends Church. Survivors include two step-daughters Judy Bednarek of Cleveland and Sharon Stanley of Salem; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Willis R. Grant, who died January 16, 1995 and whom she married January 14, 1954; two daughters Mary Ellen and Melody Kay Grant; brother Alton D. Fox, sister Audrey Weast and one infant sister. Services will be held at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday with Pastor Rick Sams officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Fairmount Memorial Park. Memorial Contributions may be made to Alliance Evangelical Friends Church, 1307 W.
