Martha (Lutz) Unger, age 88, of Sebring, passed away March 17, 2016, at Copeland Oaks. Born January 16, 1928, in Saltsburg, Pennsylvania, she is survived by her husband of 67 years, Charles T. Unger of Sebring, Ohio. Her children are James W. (Bobbie) of Stone Mountain, Georgia, and John T. (Kathy) of Houston, Texas, and she was grandmother to four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers and is survived by her sister, Emily Hennen; and nieces and nephews. Martha was a graduate of Mount Union College and after seeing her two sons through high school, continued her career as a special education teacher in Canton, Ohio for more than twenty years. She enjoyed gardening, and was good at needlepoint, sewing and painting. Martha enjoyed traveling with her husband and has visited much of the U.S. and particularly enjoyed three trips to Scotland. She was active at Trinity Episcopal Church in Alliance. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, April 2, 2016, at Trinity Episcopal Church 1200 S. Union Ave., in Alliance. Friends may call from 1 to 3 p.m., prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are by Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home.
