Martha Jane Walker age 81 of Louisville, and formerly of Alliance, died at midnight May 8, 2003 at Alliance Community Hospital.
She was born in Akron on July 1, 1921 to Glenn H. and Vera M. (Holton) Anderson. She lived in Alliance for 56 years, until moving to Louisville.
Mrs. Walker graduated from Kenmore High School, and was a member of First Christian Church.
She is survived by three daughters Jane (Robert) Hiner of Ravenna, Donna Armstrong of Zelienople, Pa., Mary Ann (Leroy) Truby of Louisville, one son John (Alice) Walker of Cuyahoga Falls, nine grandchildren, Kelly Givens, James S. Dyer, Michael Dyer, Donald F. Walker, Alice Jane Walker, Shawn Walker, Jean Myers, Jonathan Truby, Shannon Armstrong, one great-granddaughter Lauren Givens, two brothers Roger Anderson of DeBary, Fla., and Harold (Billie) Anderson of Cuyahoga Falls, and one sister Meredythe (Wilfred) Arthur.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Donald L. Walker, whom she married Sept. 20, 1942, and who died June 15, 1990.
Interment will be in Alliance City Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to Alliance Battered Women's Shelter.
