Mary Catherine Boyle, age 91 of Canton, and formerly of Alliance, died at 7:25 a.m. Friday, May 19, 2006 at the Canton Christian Home.
She was born in Marlboro Twp. on Dec. 24, 1914 to Clarence and Wilda (Markley) Berlin and lived in Alliance and Marlboro most of her life.
Mrs. Boyle graduated from Marlboro High School and was employed as a Secretary at Transue and Williams Forging.
She was a member of the Immanuel United Church of Christ; former member of the Consistory and former council woman at large.
Survivors include two daughters, Marlene Doolan of Tampa, Florida, and Patricia (Joseph) Hamlin of Branford, Florida; one son, Earl V. (Sara) Boyle Jr. of North Canton; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Evelyn Baugh of Alliance; one brother, George (Barbara) Berlin of Ashland City, Tennessee; and many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Boyle was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Earl V. Boyle Sr., who died in 1970, one brother Gordon Boyle, and one great-granddaughter.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Neal Mann officiating. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday. Interment will follow at Marlboro Cemetery.
