Mary H. Davis, age 90, of Alliance, died at 11:59 p.m. April 17, 2005 at Crandall Medical Center.
She was born September 25, 1914 in Atwater, Ohio to Humbert H. and Alice (Hagley) Loomis. Mrs. Davis moved to Alliance in 1937 from Deerfield, and has been a resident at Copeland Oaks in Sebring since August, 1995.
A graduate of Deerfield High School, she was a self-employed seamstress.
Mrs. Davis was a member of Union Avenue United Methodist Church. She was a member of the church choir for more than twenty years.
Survivors include one daughter, Cindi (Tom) Harper of Alliance and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Donald R. Davis, who she married in September, 1948, and who died in 1960, two brothers, John and Harlow Loomis, and four sisters, Nellie Myers, Laura Wilcox, Esther Loomis, and Rose Houck.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Union Avenue United Methodist Church with Rev. Gordon Ruggles officiating. Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at Fairmount Memorial Park.
