Mary Elizabeth Davison

Mary Elizabeth Davison, age 95, of Alliance, passed away at 8:12 a.m., Thursday, January 25, 2018, at Community Care Center.
She was born September 7, 1922, in Alliance, Ohio, to Monroe and Flora E. (Eyer) Biery.
Mary was a graduate of Alliance High School and received her nursing degree from Youngstown Hospital Association.
She was formerly employed at Alliance Community Hospital in Obstetrics, Alliance Health Department and retired from the former Joseph T. Nist Geriatric Center.
Mary was a lifetime member of First Immanuel United Church of Christ and former member of the choir, bell choir, and chairman of fellowship committee and consistory.
She enjoyed sewing, knitting, crossword puzzles, cryptograms and traveling.
Survivors include her sons, George Ronald (Lorrie) Davison of Ft. Myers, Florida and Robert E. (Shelley) Davison of Alliance; daughter, Rebecca A. Davison of Alliance; five grandchildren, Wendy (Steve) Moore, Mark (Patty) Davison, Kristine Davison, Amy Davison and Jeff (Bridget) Knight; eleven great-grandchildren, Katelyn, Autumn, Lauren, Ethan, Oliver, Collin, Matthew, Kenny, Sarah, Emily and Abigail; two great-great-granddaughters, Madden and Kayden; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George Raymond Davison whom she married May 11, 1944 and who died October 5, 1981; brother, George Biery; and sister, Margaret Anderson.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, January 30, 2018, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Neal Mann officiating. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, January 29 at the funeral home. Interment will be at Alliance City Cemetery.
