Mary E. Doney, age 75, of Alliance, passed away at 7:15 a.m., Sunday, December 7, 2014, at Community Care Center.
She was born July 19, 1939, in Philippi, West Virginia, to David and Mary Ruth (Howell) Reed.
Mary attended Canton McKinley High School. She was formerly employed as a nurse's aid at Manor Care in North Canton.
She was a member of the Grace Community Church. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, the outdoors and camping.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas M. Doney, whom she married July 2, 1960; two daughters, Tamara L. Dalesandro and Tracey (Jamie) Barrick, both of Alliance; son, Chris (Peggy) Doney of Canton; six grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren of Canton; brother, David R. (Ethel) Reed of Canton; three sisters, Blanche Plues, Debbie (Neil) Dalton and Priscilla (John) Giaqanta, all of Canton; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A private service will be held at 6 p.m., Wednesday, December 10, 2014, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Michaels of Grace Community Church officiating. Private visitation will be held from 4:30 to 6 p.m. prior to the service.
