Mary "Virginia" Hayhurst, age 89, of Alliance, passed away at 4:10 a.m., Tuesday, February 7, 2017, at Danbury Senior Living.
She was born February 10, 1927, in Wallace, West Virginia, to Herman and Gertie (Holt) Hutson, the youngest of ten children.
Virginia had previously resided in Shinnston, West Virginia and Saybrook, Ohio. She retired from Industrial Rayon in Painesville, Ohio.
She most of all enjoyed her family, liked to crochet and work in her yard. Virginia never met a stranger. She was loved and will be missed by her nieces, nephews and all her extended family.
Virginia is survived by her daughters, Shirley Hayhurst of Alliance and Patricia (Kenneth) Malkamaki of Round Lake, Illinois; sister, Edna Kuhn; seven grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Forrest "Ray" Hayhurst whom she married in 1943 and who died in 1976; son, Roger Hayhurst who died in 2008; brothers, Raymond, Roy, Rex, Brooks, Collwell, Lesley and Chesley Hutson; and a sister, Ruby Trader.
A graveside memorial service will be held at Saybrook Cemetery in Saybrook, Ohio, at a later date.
