Mary Florence Kesterke, age 82, of Alliance passed away at 9:00 p.m. Monday, May 2, 2011, at her home.
She was born February 7, 1929, in Alliance, Ohio to Arthur and Mary (Greenawalt) Worley.
Florence was a graduate of Alliance High School and was formerly employed as a secretary for Silver Park, Science Hill Community Church and the Marlboro Cemetery.
She enjoyed cooking, crocheting afghans as gifts for family and friends and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Florence is survived by her husband, Walter C. Kesterke of Alliance whom she married December 7, 1947; daughter, Janice (Dale) Lucas and son, Lynn (Becky) Kesterke, both of Alliance; four grandchildren Brenda (Brendon) Baughman, Michael (Jeanelle) Lucas, Valerie (Dennis) Crumbley and Charles (Ann) Kesterke; seven great-grandchildren and one brother, Arthur (Zella) Worley of Malvern.
Preceding her in death were her parents; and one brother, Donald Worley.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 7, 2011, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Jonathan Truax officiating. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday. Interment will be at Marlboro Cemetery.
