Mary Rainsberger Kibler

Mary Scott Rainsberger Kibler, age 89, lifelong resident of Alliance, passed away July 29, 2017.
She was born March 12, 1928, in Alliance to Walter and Celia Scott.
A 1945 graduate of Alliance High School, Mary attended Mount Union College and was a member of the Delta Delta Delta Sorority graduating in 1949.
She was an elementary school teacher in Alliance from 1949-1954 and later worked as library coordinator for West Branch Schools from 1967-1982.
Mary was a member of Regina Coeli Catholic Church. An active member of the Alliance community, she was involved with the Alliance Woman's Club, Hills and Dales Gardeners Club, Coterie, Whist and the Alliance Country Club where she was an avid golfer.
She loved her family and was a good friend to many.
Her survivors include her son, John (Mary) Rainsberger of Shaker Heights, Ohio; daughter-in-law, Michelle Rainsberger of Fairfield, Connecticut; four grandchildren, William (Kalie) Rainsberger of Houston, TX, Scott Rainsberger of Chicago, IL, Elizabeth (Scott) Edmondson of Fairfield, CT, Timothy Rainsberger of Brooklyn, NY; and great grandchildren, Katherine and Henry Edmondson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, William Rainsberger who passed away in 1972 and Dr. Daniel "Dan" Kibler, whom she married in 1979 and who passed away May 30, 2017; her son, William Rainsberger, who passed away May 25, 2017; and sister, Carol Scott Gwin.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, August 12, 2017 at Regina Coeli Catholic Church with Fr. Joseph Ruggieri officiating. Friends may call from 10-11 a.m. Saturday at the church. Interment will be at Fairmount Memorial Park.
