Mary L. Heckman, age 86 of Sebring, died at her daughter's home at 10:50 a.m. Friday, March 31, 2006.
She was born November 8, 1919 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Harry and Mary (Reffren) Richards and lived most of her life in Alliance.
Mrs. Heckman is survived by one daughter, Becky (Jim) Pittman of Beloit; one son Edward Heckman of Canton and daughter-in law Sabra Heckman; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Raymond E. Heckman, whom she married Dec. 31, 1937 and who died Oct. 26, 1991, and two sons, Bruce E. Heckman, who died May 29, 1992 and Paul Heckman, who died October 22, 2005.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Cassaday-Turkle Christian Funeral Home. Friends may call one hour prior. Interment will be at Alliance City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Hospice, 885 S. Sawburg Suite 106, Alliance, Ohio 44601.
