Mary Theresa Loy

Mary Theresa Loy, age 76, passed away on May 24, 2023.

She was born on April 24, 1947, in New Jersey, to Leroy and Mary (Lohr) Leek.

Mary attended school in Atwater. She drove a school bus for over 30 years, starting at Marlington School District then moving to Alliance City Schools for 25 years. Mary was a member of the Eagles. She enjoyed playing golf, bowling, and sewing. Mary loved her dog, Ellie Mae.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Jeffery Loy; her children, Yvonne (James) Hoover, Dan Ryan, James Gordon, and Harry (Julie) Gordon; step-children, Jeffrey (Tammy) Loy, Derrick (Shannon) Loy, and Brent (Amy) Loy; three sisters, Diane (Jerry) Martin, Elinor Blankinship, and Nancy Leek; a half-brother, Lee Leek; seventeen grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Keith Ryan; and two brothers, Leroy Leek and Raymond Leek.

A funeral service will be held at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 30th at 2:00 p.m. with a visitation two hours prior.
