Mary Lou Main

Mary Lou (Louella) Main, age 75, of Paris, passed away at 9:10 p.m., Wednesday, January 3, 2018, at The Inn at University Village in Massillon.
She was born April 22, 1942, in Wheeling, West Virginia, to Robert Harold and Margaret Earlene (Wilson) Richey and has resided in Paris since 1974.
Mary Lou graduated from California State Teachers College and taught at Washington Elementary School for 35 years.
She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church, Sew Happy Carnation Quilters, and Telephone Company Pioneers. She enjoyed quilting and raising miniature donkeys and horses.
Survivors include her husband, Marvin Wade Main, whom she married August 23, 1963; children, Robert (Patty) Main, Craig (Amy) Main and Carrie (Brandon) Robson; grandchildren, Benjamin (Rachel), Nicholas, Richard "Hart", Camryn, Robert, Jenna and Lena; great-grandsons, Ethan, Emmett and Landen; sister, Priscella (Jonathan) Layne and Roberta Blum; and her aunt, Clara, who inspired her to become a teacher.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, January 9, 2018, at Salem United Methodist Church 14113 Salem Church Rd NE Alliance, OH 44601 with Rev. Neil Orchard officiating. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m., Monday, January 8, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. Interment will be at Salem Greenlawn Cemetery.
