Mary Jo Maurer, age 67, of Alliance, passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2011, at Mercy Medical Center.
She was born August 20, 1943 in Cadiz, Ohio to Woodrow and Irene (Barker) Laughlin.
She was a graduate of Cadiz High School, enjoyed her grandchildren and her church.
Mary was a founding member of the Truth Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Perry W. Maurer who she married June 6, 1964; son, Perry "Toby" W. Maurer, Jr of Alliance; daughter, Sherry (Pastor Roy) Teague of Beloit; four grandchildren, Carl (Vallie) Teague, Melissa Teague, Elizabeth Teague and Joseph Teague; a great-granddaughter on the way; brother, Pastor Robert (Gladys) Laughlin of Salem and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, January 24, 2011 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Roy Teague officiating. Friends may call from 9-11 a.m. before the service. Interment will be at Sebring Grandview Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Truth Baptist Church, P. O. Box 115, Atwater, Ohio 44201.
