Mary Virginia "Ginny" McGeehen, age 89 of 2436 S. Arch Ave., Alliance, died at Alliance Community Hospital on Tuesday July 22, 2003.
She was born in East Palestine, Ohio on April 14, 1914 to the late James and Myrtle (Ford) Brimlow.
She retired from Royal China Pottery in Sebring, after working for 30 years as a stamper.
Mrs. McGeehen was a member of Union Avenue United Methodist Church, and the Beth Ferrell Circle. She was an avid bowler and belonged to numerous bowling leagues, most recently with the College Plaza Senior Citizen League.
Mrs. McGeehen is survived by her son James, with whom she resided, six grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, one niece and one nephew.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Richard A. Sr, whom she married in 1935, and who died in 1969, one son Richard A. "Red" Jr., one daughter Shirley Ann Leasure and four brothers, James, Ernest, Chester and Ronald.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday July 26, 2003 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Rev. Gordon Ruggles officiating. Friends may call 2 hours prior to the service. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, or American Diabetes Association.
