Mary Jane Miller, age 81, of Paris, Ohio, died at 8:51 a.m. Friday, April 17, 2009 at her home.
She was born June 12, 1927 in Alliance to Andrew and Mary (Feher) Saus and was a lifelong Alliance resident.
A 1945 graduate of Alliance High School, Mrs. Miller was employed by American Steel Foundries and later was Secretary and Treasurer of Manhattan Cleaners until her retirement.
She was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church, a member of the Kadesh Court in Akron, the Alliance Ladies Shrine Club and the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 296 where she served as a page. She also was a member of the Tadmor Shrine camping group, the Nomads. She enjoyed playing cards and golf and enjoyed her home and family
Survivors include her husband Harry Miller of Paris, whom she married May 2, 1954; two sons, Michael (Donna) Miller of Alliance and Stephen (Betsy) Miller of Alpharetta, Georgia; daughter, Lori (Danny) Ramirez of Orlando, Florida; four grandchildren, Sarah Miller, Alex and Blake Miller and Daniel Ramirez; one niece; and one nephew.
Preceding her in death were her parents; two brothers, Frank and George Saus; and one sister, Rose Saus.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 24, 2009 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor James McCurdy officiating. Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. Thursday, April 23 and one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Fairmount Memorial Park.
