Mary Lou "Midge" Mohr

December 7, 1929 — May 4, 2018

Mary Lou "Midge" Mohr, age 88, of Alliance, passed away Friday, May 4, 2018 at Country Lawn Nursing Home in Navarre.
She was born December 7, 1929 in Alliance, Ohio to Earl Anderson and Elizabeth (Albright) Anderson Duchon.
Midge attended Alliance High School and was a 50 year member of Christ United Methodist Church.
She was a member and Sunshine Lady of Friendship II Sunday School Class, where she helped with peanut brittle and Carnation Days in the Park. She also served funeral dinners, made Christmas baskets, was a Junior High UMYF Leader, and member of Staff Parish and the Education Committee. Midge served as Head of the Children's Department for more than 20 years, and assisted with Boy Scout Troop 50 and Cub Scout Pack 50.
Survivors include her children, Lynn Penick, Bruce (Ruth) Mohr, Karen (John) Marks, and Michael Mohr; grandchildren, Jennifer, Heather, Sarah, Anna, Jonathon, Corrina, Jessica, Robert, Kelly, John Michael, and Connor; nine great-grandchildren; and her best friend, Susan Diser.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard Earl Mohr, who died in 1988, sister, Margaret Jean Riddle, and son-in-law Don Penick.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday. Interment will be at Fairmount Memorial Park.
Midge's family would like to thank the staff at Country Lawn, Absolute Hospice, and her hospice nurse, Shelby for their compassionate care.
