Mary Niarchos Moore

Mary Niarchos Moore, lifetime resident of Alliance, former Alliance teacher and active member of many local civic and community organizations, died Wednesday October 3, 2007. She was 81.
Mary was a graduate of Alliance High School and Mount Union College. She taught fifth and sixth grade in the Alliance City School system for 31 years.
A strong believer in education, she was honored to become a member of the C.P. Chapter of PEO. Mary was recognized as Woman of the Year in 2006 by the Alliance Woman's Club and was also active in the Alliance Garden Club, The Tennysonians and Trinity Episopal Church. Additionally, Mary was a member of the Alliance Country Club where she enjoyed entertaining her family and friends. She especially loved playing bridge with all her friends at the Women's Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters. She is survived by her husband William of 53 years, her daughter Sally, son-in-law Todd, grandson Morgan and four nieces and nephews.
A memorial celebrating her life will be held on Tuesday October 9 at 11 a.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church 1200 S. Union Ave. Alliance, Ohio with Rev. Karin Himstedt officiating. Interment will be at Fairmount Memorial Park
