Mary Rach, age 93, of Alliance died at 4:10 a.m. Friday, February 11, 2011 at McCrea Manor.
She was born January 30, 1918, in Crossingville, Pa., to Michael and Betta (Jaros) Cubon and has resided in Deerfield most of her life.
Mrs. Rach and her husband, Thomas, were former co-owners of Parkview Restaurant at Deerfield Circle from 1947 to 1953 and also of the Skylark Restaurant in Canfield.
She is survived by her daughters, Carolyn (Miles) Felmly, and Marilyn Messner; son, Michael Rach, all of Deerfield; grandchildren, Todd (Paula) Felmly, Jeffrey (Amy) Messner, Heather (John) Larkin and Julie (Mark) Monroe; great-grandchildren, Hayley, Colin and Ian; and sisters, Stella (Virgil) Hoyle of Berlin Center and Anna Likens of Erie, Pa.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Thomas Rach, whom she married May 8, 1942 and who died in 1966; brothers, Joseph, Michael, John and Rudy; and sister, Catherine.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, February 14, 2011, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Don Feicht officiating. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home and from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Monday. Interment will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
