Mary E. "Bo" Rowan, age 68, of Alliance, passed away at 7:15 a.m., Thursday, February 5, 2015, at Roselawn Gardens.
She was born September 3, 1946, in Pikeville, Kentucky, to Frank and Betty (Smallwood) Newsome and has resided in Alliance for 37 years.
Mary was a member of the Alliance Freewill Baptist Church.
Survivors include her children, Frank Rowan and Garrett (Angela) Rowan, both of Alliance and Robin Rowan of Kensington; sister, Shirley Gifford of Hanoverton; brothers, Ron Newsome of Tennessee and Frank Newsome of Ellsworth; and four grandchildren, Sheree, Frankie, Cody and Evan Rowan.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband of 43 years, Norman Rowan, who died June 20, 2009.
Services will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Jimmie Holbrook officiating. Friends may call from 4-6 prior to the service. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
