Mary L. Wilson, age 68 of Alliance, passed away Tuesday morning, February 27 2007 at home following a terminal illness. Mary was born at home in Thelma City (Sebring), Ohio on July 23, 1938 to the late Norman and Annabelle (Steves) Bichsel. She was a 1956 graduate of Minerva High School.
Mary was a resident of the Alliance area all her life. She was employed by the Alliance Community hospital for 28 years and retired as a medical records clerk in April 2006 and volunteered many hours at the Alliance Senior Citizens Center. She was preceded in death by her father (1979), mother (1996), two brothers, Donald (1957) and Howard (1984).
Mrs. Wilson is survived by her husband of almost 50 years, Charles H., daughter, Kimberly K. Mackintosh of Alliance, and son, Craig C. Wilson of Winter Haven, Florida, four grandchildren Danael N. Mackintosh of N. Canton, Daylin A. Mackintosh of Paterson, NJ Dustin A. Mackintosh of San Diego, CA, and Nicholas Sheridan of Winter Haven, Florida. sisters Norma Bichsel of Sebring, Marie Snyder of Berlin Center, Ruth Davis of Mansfield, Ann (David) Sheen of Florida, Judy Henderhan of Minerva, Sue (Chuck) Hoover of Alliance, Sally (Mark) Wainauskis of Alliance, Pat (David) Henderhan of Marietta, Bonnie (John) Leech of Alliance, brothers William Bichsel, Jim (Joyce) Bichsel of Minerva, David (Terry) Bichsel of Canton, Chuck (Janette) Bichsel of Rayville, Louisiana, Ernie (Jill) Bichsel of Florida, Harold (Sherri) Bichsel of Brewster, Dale (Teresa) Bichsel of Canton and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Vincent Funk of New Apostolic Church officiating. Friends may call Sunday from 5-9 p.m. at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park in the garden of the Apostles.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Alliance Senior Citizens Center, 602 W. Vine Street, Alliance, Ohio 44601 or Alliance Hospice 885 S. Sawburg Rd, Alliance, Ohio 44601.
