MaryAnn Johnson

MaryAnn Johnson, age 82, of Alliance passed away on September 7, 2021.

She was born on December 15, 1938 in Louisville to James Max and Anna (Raynard) Robson.

MaryAnn graduated from Marlboro High School in 1957. She worked as a surgical technician for Robinson Memorial Hospital, drove a school bus for Marlington Local Schools, retired from Buckeye Market and was always working on the family farm. MaryAnn was a member of Marlboro Christian Church where she taught pre-school, worked in the nursery, helped in the kitchen with funeral meals and sunshine meals for the sick. She was also a member of Women’s Guild and Friendship Sunday School Class. MaryAnn enjoyed baking, sewing and ceramics, but most of all she loved being with her family and spoiling her dog, Max.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Robert Johnson, whom she married May 4, 1968; her sons, Terry Johnson, Timothy Johnson, Todd (Judy) Johnson; daughters, Denise (Patrick) Kubeja, Lorretta King and Tonya (Robert) Hoyt; sixteen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; step-sister, Kathy (Lee) Weibush; sister-in-law, Mary Jane Robson; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Max “Junior”, Robert and Virgil Robson; daughter-in-law, Debbie Johnson; and son-in-law, Doy King.

A funeral service will be held at Marlboro Christian Church on Saturday, September 11th at 11:00 a.m. with a visitation one hour prior and Pastors Ed Harnish and Eric Crites officiating. A visitation will also be held at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home on Friday, September 10th from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Interment will be at Marlboro Cemetery.
