Mathew G Jacobs

Mathew G. Jacobs, age 78, of Alliance, passed away on May 26, 2022.

He was born on February 2, 1944 to Harold and Hazel (Karvel) Jacobs.

Mathew graduated from Steubenville “Big Red” High School. He worked for General Motors for 31 years until his retirement. Mathew was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church and the Fraternal Order of the Eagles. He enjoyed bowling, playing cards, washers, cornhole and was a very active person. Mathew also loved playing basketball with his sons and grandsons.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Roseann (Monigold) Jacobs, whom he married on December 30, 1962; his sons, Mathew (Cyndi) Jacobs Jr., Brian (Jen) Jacobs and Nicolas (Dana) Jacobs; seven grandchildren, Brandon, Shawn, Bryan, Zack, Eric, Josh and Ryan; eleven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Phylis (Don) Weathermon and Ealon (Steve) Uhas; brother, Nick Lonetto; several sisters and brothers-in-law; and several loving nieces and nephews, including, Teri, George and Shelbie.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Georgia Belle Karvel; and a brother, Philip.

A celebration of life will be held at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church on Friday, June 3rd at 6:00 p.m. with a visitation one hour prior. Pastors Dave Cannon and Dick Walters will officiate.
