Matilda G. Roose

Matilda 'Tillie' (Lewis) Roose, age 98, of Alliance, passed away at her son's home in Bedford, Texas at 9:10 p.m., Saturday, July 25, 2015, with her family by her side.
She was born May 5, 1917, in Alliance, Ohio, to Morgan and Eldessa (Cameron) Lewis.
A member of First Immanuel Church of Christ, Tillie worked as a welder for Taylorcraft and also worked for Royal China.
Survivors include her son, Larry V. (Ann) Roose of Bedford, Texas; daughter-in-law, Cathy Roose of Ramsey, Minnesota; grandsons, Scott of Utah, Tony of Minnesota and Brian of Texas; four great grandchildren; and brother, Eugene (Betty) Lewis of Westville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Vernon L. Roose, whom she married May 30, 1941 and who passed away October 4, 2004; son, Ronald R. of Ramsey, Minnesota; two granddaughters; five brothers; and five sisters.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 11, 2015, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Neal Mann officiating. Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Monday, August 10, 2015, at the funeral home. Interment will be at Sebring Grandview Cemetery.
