Maxine Marie Bounds

Maxine Marie Bounds, age 88, of Alliance, passed away at 3:35 a.m., Monday, January 11, 2016, at Canterbury Villa.
She was born September 21, 1927, in Putney, West Virginia, to Delbert and Mary (Denimore) Withrow and lived in Alliance since 1969.
Survivors include her daughters, Marie (Clifford) Nelson of Louisville, Cynthia Elder of Missouri and Jeanie (Jack) Snodgrass of Akron; granddaughter, Melinda Bounds, who lovingly cared for Maxine; brother, Donald (Linda) Withrow of Alliance; sisters, Louise (Bob) Christ of Florida, Rosemary Mitchel of Clendinn, West Virginia and Almada (Ralph) Nottingham of St. Paris, Ohio; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Pierce Bounds whom she married in 1945; four brothers; one sister; one granddaughter; and one great-granddaughter.
The family wishes to extend a thank you to Canterbury Villa of Alliance for the wonderful care and support of Maxine and her family and also to Tridia Hospice for their loving care and support.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 14, 2016, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
