Maxine C. Lastivka, age 88, of Alliance, died at 9:00 p.m. Sunday, June 3, 2012, at Altercare of Alliance.
She was born February 29, 1924, in Salem, Ohio, to Robert L. and Muriel (Elder) Crum.
A 1942 graduate of Alliance High School, Maxine was a 70 year member of Christ United Methodist Church and a member of the Protheon Sunday School Class. She enjoyed playing cards, and was an avid golfer and member of the Sleepy Hollow Country Club where she aced a hole-in-one. Maxine was a beautician for more than 50 years.
Survivors include sister, Shirley A. Carberry and brother, Robert G. Crum, both of Alliance: and two nieces, Sheryl (Jeff) Lain of Alliance and Carol Tallman of Boardman.
Preceding her in death were her parents; niece, Joni Mastrocovia, and her husband, John E. Lastivka, whom she married May 4, 1963, and who died March 5, 2012.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, June 7, 2012, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Martin officiating. Friends may call two hours prior to the service. Entombment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
