Maxine L. Molnar, age 84 of Harmony, Pa., and formerly of Alliance, died at Evergreen Nursing Center in Harmony, Pa., at 4:30 a.m. Aug. 20, 2006. She was born June 13, 1922 in Alliance, Ohio to Frank and Margaret (McGown) Diehl and graduated from Alliance High School. She was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church. Survivors include three daughters, Geri Mantz of Ellwood City, Pa., Susan Thompson of Cincinnati, and Frances Goff of New Mexico; one son, Richard (Ingrid) Fitzgerald of Florida; three grandchildren; two-great-grandsons; two step-sons, Steven (Jan) Molnar of Alliance, and Craig (Peggy) Molnar of Alliance; one step-daughter, Cindy Molnar of Canton; three step-grandsons and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Steven Molnar, who died April 3, 1989; and one sister, Marjorie Diehl. Services will be held at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday with Pastor Frank Gross Jr. officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
