Megan Elizabeth Adelman-Tenney, age 19 of Alliance, died as the result of an accident in Ft. Benning, Georgia on January 25, 2005.
Megan was born Aug. 11, 1985 in Canton, Ohio to Mark and Melissa (Westlake) Adelman.
A 2004 graduate of Alliance High School, she was serving in the U.S. Army as a Human Resource Specialist. She had completed basic combat training at Ft. Jackson S.C. prior to completing her M.O.S. training. She was currently stationed in Ft. Benning for Airborne training.
Megan is survived by her parents, Mark Adelman of Suffield, and Melissa Adelman of Alliance, her husband, Joshua Michael Tenney, whom she married Dec. 22, 2004, one sister, Tina R. King, two brothers, Marcus Adelman and Matthew Adelman, all of Alliance, maternal grandparents, John Westlake of Canton, and John and Doris Colson of Pinellas Park, Florida, paternal grandparents, Mark and Ella Adelman of Suffield, and mother and father-in-law, John and Cindy McClure of Alliance.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Eremich officiating. Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday. Interment will be at Alliance City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made the Megan Adelman-Tenney Foundation to be used for a Cross-Country Scholarship, in care of Charter One Bank, 780 W. State St. Alliance, Ohio 44601.
