Melvin W. Jordan, Jr

Melvin W. Jordan, Jr. age 60, of Alliance, passed away at 7:53 a.m. Thursday, December 31, 2009 at Salem Community Hospital. He was born May 11, 1949 in Alliance to Melvin W. Sr. and Mary M. (Cooper) Jordan. Melvin attended West Branch Schools and was formerly employed as a truck driver and painted cars for various auto shops in Alliance. He was a social member of the American Legion in Sebring and Lake Milton. Survivors include his fianci�½e, Sherri Foster of Canfield; son, Rick Jordan of Alliance; one brother, Gary Jordan of Beloit; two sisters, Mary Lou (Russell) Leyman of Salem and Patty (Joe) Arnal Jr. of Alliance; nephew and niece, Joe III and Michelle, as well as several other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, James D. Jordan. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 5, 2009 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with interment to follow at Bunker Hill Cemetery.
