Micah Christopher-Raymond Hilliard, the beloved eleven month old son of Melanie L. Hilliard and Atilio J. Hanlin, passed away Friday, January 19, 2007 at Akron Children's Medical Center.
Micah was born Jan. 31, 2006 in Alliance, Ohio and went to St. Joseph Catholic Church. "Chunky Monkey" as he was called by his family, liked to ride on Grommy's wheelchair. He also liked to ride his scooter, play with his brother and sister, his friends at daycare, and his girlfriend, Miss Melissa.
Micah had a smile that would melt your heart, and will be missed by his family, which includes his mom, Melanie L. Hilliard of Alliance, dad, A.J. Hanlin of Canton, brother Aidan Hilliard and sister, Brianna Walters, both of the home; maternal grandma, Christine Hilliard of Alliance; maternal grommy, Tonya Emmons of Alliance; paternal grandparents Sally Djeridi of Florida, Rick Hanlin of Columbus, Atilio Gonzalez of Florida and Cindy Johnson of Missouri; Mema and Pap, Frank and JoAnn Hilliard of East Liverpool; aunts and uncles, Jim and Judy Emmons, Jamie and Shaun Loy, Nancy and Jason Stutler, Bryan and Karrie Hilliard, Libra and Brandon Hanlin, Cindy Hilliard and Lori and Mike Predmore, Jeff Hilliard, in addition to many more aunts, uncles and cousins.
Preceding Micah in death were his grandfather, Frank J. Hilliard, great-grandma, Barbara Emmons, uncle, Norm Duro, cousin, Jonathan Predmore, and great-great grandparents Harry and Grace Vess and Fred and Laura Hilliard.
Services for Micah will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Donald Feicht officiating; friends may meet at the funeral home at 9:00 a.m. for final prayers before proceeding to the church. Friends may share memories and pay their respects on Wednesday from 6-9 p.m. at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Micah will be laid to rest at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Memorial Contributions may be made in Micah's name at Charter One Bank, where a trust fund has been established.
