Michael Lee Rodgers, age 50, of Beloit, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, September 3, 2008 at 12:10 p.m. at Aultman Hospital.
He was born in Akron, Ohio, January 10, 1958 to the late Charles and Virgie (Groves) Rodgers.
Michael was a former auto mechanic until his health worsened.
He loved children, camping, and spending time with his friends.
He is survived by his companion, Paulette Nuzum of Alliance; six brothers, Larry Lambert of Texas, Richard Rodgers and Donald Rodgers both of Akron, Tim (Jeannie) Rodgers of Massillon, Kenneth Rodgers of New Jersey and Thomas Rodgers of Akron; three sisters, Carroll Lambert of Texas, and Barbara Rodgers and Charlotte (John) Dickson, both of Alliance. Michael is also survived by his friends, Mike Wilkinson and Missy Nuzum and their children of Alliance, Jodie and Rodney Jarvis and their children of Alliance; and Rodney and Chrissy Sellers and their children of Atwater; and many nieces and nephews.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Linda Young.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, September 8, 2008 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Gordon Thomas officiating of the First Baptist Church in Alliance. Interment will be at Mt. Union Cemetery.
Arrangements are by Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home, 75 S. Union Ave. Alliance, Ohio 44601.
