Michael A. Strata, age 53, of Alliance, passed away at 2:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at his home.
He was born June 16, 1956 in Alliance to Michael J. Strata and Elizabeth (Osco) Andrisani.
A 1974 graduate of Alliance High School, Michael was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was a very kind and caring person who enjoyed music, playing drums, and spending time on his computer.
Survivors include his mother of Alliance; his daughter, Michelle (Jacob) Whitaker of Canton; two grandchildren, Angelea and A.J.; two brothers, Douglas Strata of Sebring and Gary (Sherry) Strata of Alliance, his sister, Periann (Guy) Kirk of Alliance; his best friend, Bill O'Donnell of Alliance; several uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his fathe; his son, Mark; and his stepfather, Joseph Andrisani.
Services will be held at Noon Saturday, January 23, 2010 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Fr. Donald Feicht of St Joseph Catholic Church officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the St. Joseph Catholic Church, 427 E. Broadway St. Alliance, Ohio, 44601 or to the donor's choice of charity.
