Mildred C. Emplit, age 87 of Alliance, died at 12:20 a.m. Monday, Nov. 28, 2005 at Altercare of Alliance.
She was born Jan. 21, 1918 in North Georgetown, Ohio to Charles H. and Edith (Stuckey) Ritchie and was a lifelong area resident.
Mrs. Emplit attended Goshen High School in Damascus and was formerly a member of Vine Street United Methodist Church. She enjoyed cooking and reading.
Survivors include two sons, David Emplit of Alliance, and Jack Emplit of Michigan; four grandchildren, Jason Emplit and Daniel Emplit of Michigan, and Stacee Helman and Tiffany Emplit both of Alliance; and two great-grandchildren, Bryden Helman and Aubrie Helman, both of Alliance.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Leon Emplit Jr., whom she married in 1936, and who died in 1987; three sisters, Rhea Barker, Irene Mohr, and Mable Everson, and three brothers, James Ritchie, Arthur Ritchie, and Edward Ritchie.
No services or visitation will be held.
