Mildred I. Gruber, age 85 of North Canton, and formerly of Alliance, died at 6:12 a.m. Saturday March 26, 2005 at Massillon Community Hospital after an extended illness.
Mrs. Gruber was born February 28, 1920 in Alliance, Ohio to Carrie Kilbreath and lived in Alliance most of her life.
She was a member of First Immanuel United Church of Christ. She was also a member of United Commercial Travelers and she was a devoted housewife and mother.
She is survived by two sons, William Gruber of North Canton, and Gary A. Gruber of Lorena, Texas, five grandchildren, Stephanie Roach, Elizabeth Gruber, Renee Gruber, William A. Gruber, and Charley Gruber, one great-granddaughter, Brittini Roach, one brother, Homer Kilbreath of Falfurrias, Texas, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William Albert Gruber, who died May 1, 1991, five brothers and one sister.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Neal Mann officiating. Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Thursday. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
