Mildred Irene Harris, age 90 of Crandall Medical Center, and formerly of Deerfield, died at 2:04 p.m. March 17, 2006 at Alliance Community Hospital.
She was born Oct. 11, 1915 in Rayland, Ohio to Herbert and Clara (Marchbank) Ruckman and graduated from the former Warren Consolidated School District in Tiltonville, Ohio.
Mrs. Harris resided in Deerfield since 1981, after moving here from Iowa. She was a member of the Deerfield Evangelical Friends Church and its Women's Missionary Society.
Survivors include her husband, Pastor Myron L. Harris, with whom she celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary; they were married on Sept. 19, 1940 at the Hopewell Methodist Church; two sisters, Anne Hall of New Philadelphia, Ohio and Lois McCue of Findlay, Ohio; nephew, Eddie Hall of Tennessee, and several other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and one infant son, David Myron Harris.
Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Rev. Jody Hill of Deerfield Evangelical Friends Church officiating. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday. Interment will take place on Thursday at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
