Mildred M. Stevens, age 96, of Alliance, died at 6:20 a.m. Thursday, April 21, 2005 at Altercare of Alliance.
Mrs. Stevens was born on March 4, 1909 in Alliance, Ohio to Charles and Elizabeth (McCoy) Edwards and was a lifelong resident.
She graduated from Alliance High School in 1927 and was a member of First Christian Church.
Survivors include one son, Harry T. (Ann) Stevens, and one daughter, June Duchon, both of Alliance, 7 grandchildren, Deborah, Robert, Rebecca, David, Timothy, Nancy and Susan, and 8 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Stevens was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Harry R. Stevens, whom she married July 30, 1927, and who died Nov. 4, 1985, one daughter, Lois A. Stevens, two brothers, and one sister.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Craig L. Jones officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
