Milton A. Aebi

Milton A. Aebi, age 78, beloved husband and father, passed away on February 14th at his home in Canton, Georgia, surrounded by Evelyn, his wife, and family members.
He was born on June 6, 1939, in Alliance, Ohio, to Homer and Madge (Wehner) Aebi.
A 1957 graduate of Alliance High School, Milt soon began working for Ohio Edison reading meters. In 1968, he was selected for a special program to learn computer assembly language programming and soon mastered many of the complexities of mainframe computing. In 1976, he was offered a position with Stockholders Systems, Inc. a small but growing software company headquartered outside of Atlanta, Georgia, where he worked for more than 19 years. After retiring from SSI, he formed his own consulting company, FullServ, where he finished his career maintaining much of the programs and code he wrote for numerous large customers.
Milt enjoyed watching and participating in many sports and was an accomplished bowler with two 300 games to his credit. He loved tinkering with motors and working outdoors. He was an active member of the Lake Sovereign Home Owners Association, where he served as Treasurer for multiple terms. He was a member of Heritage Presbyterian Church in Acworth, Georgia.
Milt is survived by his wife of 41 years, Evelyn (Reiss) Aebi, and three children - daughter, Lindi Peterson and her husband, Lenny, and sons, Shawn and his wife, Lynne, and Matt, along with seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. In addition, he is survived by his sister, Yvonne Bechtold, and sister-in-law, Jean Aebi. He was loved by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Donald Aebi.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February, 21, 2018, at Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Alliance, Ohio, with Rev. Nancy S. Manner officiating. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, February 20, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. Interment will be at Marlboro Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 11394 Edison St NE, Alliance, OH 44601.
