Monty Lee Welsh, II, age 57, of Alliance, passed away at 6:10 a.m., Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at Altercare of Alliance.
He was born March 13, 1956, in Alliance, to Monty L. Welsh Sr. and Shirley J. (Kendrick) Welsh.
A graduate of Marlington High School, Monty, was owner of the former Alliance Ink.
Monty was a former Boy Scout. He enjoyed NASCAR, racing his race cars, riding his motorcycles and tattooing. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family, grandchildren and golfing with his son, Monty.
Survivors include his mother, Shirley J. (Kendrick) Welsh, of Alliance; daughter, Nikki (Blaize) Welsh of Alliance; three sons, Monty (Cynthia) Barnhart and George (Allison) Guessman, both of Alliance and Walter Welsh of the home; sister, Kathleen (Mike) Bungard; two brothers, Keith A. (Lucinda) Welsh, of Alliance and Scott A. (Sharron) Welsh of Limaville; eleven grandchildren, Kristofor, Kerissa, Amber, Alex, Matthew, Evan, Leigham, Nyjah, Theo, Courtney and Jacob and Monty's companion, Tracy Meek.
He was preceded in death by his father, Monty L. Welsh, Sr., who died April 1, 2008;
A memorial service will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday, July 6, 2013, at West Branch State Park, Pavilion One, with Pastor Gordon Thomas officiating. Friends and family are invited to gather for a potluck picnic after the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to be used for their discretion.
