Muriel E. Mani, age 91, of Alliance, Ohio, died at 9:35 a.m. Saturday, January 24, 2009 at Alliance Community Hospital.
She was born April 24, 1917 in Betula, PA to Floyd and Gertrude (Case) McPherson.
Mrs. Mani was a graduate of Alliance High School. Muriel was involved in her family's photography business since the early age of five and made it a career. She also served as an assistant to her husband's auctioneering company and volunteered as a 4H Advisor. Muriel attended Beechwood United Methodist Church and was a former member of the Maximo Zion Church.
Mrs. Mani is survived by her two daughters, Marleen (Casey) Grant of Alliance, and Susan Mani of the home; son, Carl J. (Yan Yan) Mani of Louisville; two granddaughters, Jennifer Mani and Shannon Durbin; three great grandchildren, Cody, Chad, and Cara; sister, Gail Fox of Buckhannon, West Virginia; and her daughter-in-law, Judy Mani of Minerva.
She was preceded in death by husband, Clarence J. Mani, who died on January 2, 1974; son, Dale Clarence Mani, who died on February 9, 2000; three sisters, Betty Wyant, Hope McPherson, and Jeanne Beck; and two brothers, Paul and Dale McPherson.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Richard Wallace of Beechwood United Methodist Church officiating. Friends may call two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be at Union Cemetery in Louisville.
