Myron C Powers

Myron C. Powers, age 86, passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2022.

He was born on March 9, 1936, in Girard, PA, to William and Hazel (Bogart) Powers.

Myron served in the United States Airforce from 1957-1961.  He was a lifelong HAM Radio Operator; his call sign was W3ALD.  He was a member of the American Legion Post 574 and Aldersgate United Methodist Church.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Denise Powers and Betsy (Ronald) Caldwell; step-children, Jamie (David) Davies -Stevens, James (Rosemary) Davies and Scott Davies; and several grandchildren and great children.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife Gertrude (Van-Slyke) Powers whom passed away in June 1991; his second wife, Elizabeth “Betty” Powers whom passed away in February 2017; brother, Harold Powers; and sister, Evelyn Knapp.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 22 at 2 p.m. at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home.  Visitation will be held one hour prior.  Interment will be held at Highland Memorial Park with military honors.
